At Fundamental Life Skills Center, social skills come to life. Our program helps students learn how to communicate, connect, and build confidence not just in the classroom but out in the real world. Through community field trips, hands-on experiences, and guided practice, students learn how to start conversations, make friends, and navigate everyday social situations with ease.
What makes our program extra special is our Best Buddies program, where neurotypical peers join our students as friends and role models. Together they share fun experiences, practice teamwork, and form genuine friendships that help every student grow socially and emotionally.

Fundamental Cafe is a casual meeting space for young adults with disabilities to interact socially and make friends with members of our community. Our students will receive quality training to operate a small business.
The Fundamental Pre-Employment Program provides a valuable opportunity for Broward County students aged 18 to 22 with developmental disabilities. This program offers comprehensive career and workforce education, community-based instruction, and independent living skills, making it a distinctive choice for post-secondary education. Our school prepares students with the essential skills for a successful career after high school.
The Fundamental Pre-Employment Program is primarily funded by Step Up for Students and the Vocational Rehabilitation Program.
